MYLO - an automatic pool alarm for private and public swimming pools. Utilizing artificial intelligence and two cameras, it monitors and reports the conditions in the pool and its surroundings. In the event of danger near the pool, it triggers an alarm and notifies you of the risk, by the pool in the house and on your smartphone in real time.
You can enhance swimming pool safety with the MYLO automatic pool alarm. Using two wide-angle cameras, it monitors activity in and around the pool. Based on poolside activity, it triggers various types of alerts. It can sound the alarm at three different positions. First is located near the swimming pool at the device itself. The second alarm is placed inside your house and is plugged into an electrical outlet. The third is sent to your phone. This way, you are notified of any potential danger at your pool, even when you're not at home.
MYLO's automatic swimming pool alarm system highlights:
Installation of MYLO - swimming pool safety alarm:
The installation of the pool drowning detection system is very straightforward. Mount it in a corner of the pool so that the cameras cover the entire area. You can install the device yourself with basic technical knowledge and tools such as an electric drill and the provided screws. For proper operation, swimming pool alarm system must be within Wi-Fi signal range and connected to electrical power.
Connection of MYLO drowning detection alarm to the smartphone:
Connection between MYLO and smartphone is possible. In addition to physically installing it at the pool, you need to connect the device to your phone. You can do this very easily. Download the MYLO by Coral Smart Pool app from either Google Play or the App Store, depending on your device. Simply scan the QR code provided with the product and follow the simple instructions. This way, your phone and the drowning detection device are interconnected, and you stay informed about what's happening in your private pool. The drowning detection device is able to connect as many smartphones as you wish on it. It means that for example you can connect the device with your neighbour smartphone. So in case of emergency, if you are not at home, your neighbour can intervene and prevent drowning.
MYLO uses two wide-angle cameras to constantly monitor the surroundings of your pool. One camera observes the area above the water surface, while the other monitors below the surface, ensuring full coverage at all times. The system is always vigilant and sends four different types of warnings to the MYLO alarm unit, the home base, and your smartphone, so you're alerted wherever you are.
MYLO can provide real-time updates, including the location and a visual representation of a swimmer in distress, helping pool owners or lifeguards respond quickly and accurately.
MYLO detects potential drowning situations faster than traditional monitoring, allowing for quicker intervention and potentially saving lives.
Upon detection of a person or animal, the device alerts you with a short beep. The signal is emitted by both the poolside device and an indoor alarm plug connected to a socket. You also receive a push notification and a picture of the current situation outside and inside the pool on your smartphone. That is the first dtype of detection which is acctualy not an alarm but rather that a notification. It signals that someone is approaching the pool.
Also this type of notification serves primarily as a warning. It informs you when the swimming pool is in use and someone is inside, allowing you to stay aware and be more vigilant. In addition, the system sends a notification with a photo directly to your phone. This type of alert is particularly useful for larger public pools, as it helps lifeguards detect activity from within or near the pool area. In this way, they can focus more attention on pools where movement is detected.
The third stage of warning activates when a person begins making unusual movements with their arms and legs—motions that resemble those of a person drowning or struggling to stay above water. MYLO's advanced algorithms have been trained through thousands of simulated drowning scenarios, enabling the system to recognize these critical movements in real time. For example, when someone in the pool starts behaving erratically—making frantic or uncoordinated gestures that resemble drowning—the system detects the anomaly and triggers the alarm. Once a potential drowning situation is identified, it activates a loud audible alarm (approximately 60 dB) and flashes a red LED light to immediately alert nearby individuals. The person must be in this situation for 12 seconds. In this way the system excludes children playing from real alerts. The number of false notifications is dramaticaly decresed making easier to focus on dangerous situation.
When the system detects that a person in the water has remained immobile for more than 12 seconds—showing no signs of movement or life—it automatically triggers the third and most critical level of the MYLO pool safety detection system. At this stage, a loud audible alert (approx. 60 dB) is activated on the poolside device, accompanied by a flashing red LED light. This visual and sound buzzer is designed to immediately alert anyone near the pool to a potentially life-threatening situation.Simultaneously, the indoor unit—plugged into a standard socket—also emits a loud warning signal and flashes red, ensuring you're informed even if you don’t have a direct view of the pool.In addition to these static alerts, the system sends a real-time notification to your mobile phone, including a current image of the pool—both above and below the water surface—so you can assess the situation instantly, even from a distance. If the person begins to move again or shows signs of life, the alarm automatically stops, allowing for a prompt but non-intrusive safety experience.
